It is important for individuals to study the Mideast conflict to a level where the complexities of the situation begin to start to make sense. It takes a fair amount of time and commitment but the effort is very much worthwhile. The information that we receive from the press is not enough to fully understand the history, the religions, and the political issues that need to be presented by experts in the field from the many sides that are involved in this conflict.

None of these books present a full or a fair picture of the issues. The reader needs to find a set of books that will provide enough information being presented from a diverse group of viewpoints to begin to create an informed and balanced opinion on the conflict.

We have set out a number of books that have been recommended by some of the people that have been involved in the Mideast Peace Project and a large number of books were obtained from experts gathered by NPR and their readership.
